Limited Lifetime Warranty
ShuttersUp 360 LLC stands behind every shutter we build and install. This page explains exactly what our warranty covers, what it does not cover, and how to get help if something goes wrong.
Who is covered
This warranty is given to the original purchaser, for products installed at the original installation address. It is not transferable to a new owner if the home is sold.
What is covered
For as long as you own your home, we warrant that your ShuttersUp 360 plantation shutters will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal residential use. This includes:
- Panels, frames and louvers that warp, crack, split, separate at the joints, or peel because of a defect in materials or how we built them.
- Hardware that fails under normal use, including hinges, magnets, catches, louver pins and tilt rod connections.
- Our installation workmanship, when the shutters were installed by ShuttersUp 360.
What is not covered
This warranty covers defects. It does not cover damage or wear caused by use, accidents, or conditions outside our control, including:
- Normal wear and tear. Minor scratches, scuffs and marks from everyday use; gradual fading or yellowing from direct sunlight; and louvers that loosen over time with regular use. Louver tension can be adjusted, and we are happy to show you how.
- Improper use. Forcing louvers or panels, opening or closing louvers by pushing on them instead of using the tilt rod, swinging panels hard against walls or furniture, or hanging, leaning or placing objects on the shutters.
- Accidents and damage by people or pets. Impacts, children or pets climbing or chewing, and damage from moving furniture or other household activity.
- Water and moisture. Leaks, flooding, condensation, steam, sprinklers, or wet areas such as showers. Wood shutters are not recommended in high-moisture locations.
- Improper cleaning. Harsh chemicals, solvents, abrasive cleaners, or soaking the shutters with water.
- Work by others. Repairs, alterations, painting, staining, removal or reinstallation by anyone other than ShuttersUp 360. Shutters that are taken down and moved to another window or home.
- Changes to the home. Settling, foundation movement, remodeling, construction, or window and trim changes made after installation.
- Customer measurements and DIY products. Sizing errors when the customer provided the measurements, and the installation of DIY shutters. DIY shutters are covered for defects in materials only.
- Natural variations in wood grain and color, and slight color differences between original and replacement parts, especially if a color has been discontinued.
- Events outside our control, such as fire, smoke, extreme heat, earthquakes, storms and other acts of nature.
How to care for your shutters
- Dust regularly with a soft cloth, feather duster, or a vacuum with a soft brush attachment.
- For spots, wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, then dry right away.
- Open and close the louvers with the tilt rod. On hidden-tilt shutters, move the louvers gently by hand.
- Keep panels closed and latched when not in use, and open them slowly.

Limits of this warranty
Repair or replacement of the defective part is the only remedy under this warranty. ShuttersUp 360 is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages, such as damage to other property, paint or walls, or time and expenses related to the claim. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
